My name is Casey Garvin. I'm a junior Broadcast Journalism major at Troy University. On top of this blog, you can find my contributions in the #jlabnews feed on Twitter. Soon, you'll see my face behind the Trojanvision anchor's desk. I came to Troy because I was told it was the best place to go to get a Journalism major, and it looks like that was more or less spot-on.

My hobbies include video games (appropriately enough for this blog), tabletop gaming, writing, scanning world news headlines, and hearing the sound of my own voice. I've always said it doesn't matter where I work or what I do, so long as I'm getting paid to talk.

This blog is about DotA 2 because it's one of the few topics I know well, inside and out. Plus, it's just interesting enough (and complicated enough) to warrant a beginner's course blog.
